The weather!

It feels as if we are in 40 days and 40 nights of rain. Engineers have had to be towed from fields and I have seen caravans sitting in many inches of water. Its really important that when we come to jack up your caravan that we have some solid ground for our jacks to sit on. It is even likely that some services will need to be rescheduled if the ground is too wet. I hope that you all realise that safety is very important and we must ensure that you, your vehicle and we are safe.

If your having problems and looking for an approved workshop then look no further than Chatsworth Motorhome & Caravan Servicing if your in Derbyshire, Derby or North Nottinghamshire.

Easter time for caravan engineers

The Caravan Club
I hope that you are all enjoying Easter but please take five minutes to think about your local caravan engineer who will be having the busiest time of the year. I am having customers ring me expecting an immediate response but they are one of many and its very difficult to offer our normal call out timescales.

I was at Poolsbrook Caravan Club Site a few days a go on a call out and three other people approached me whilst I was there. Oh and one other thing - we do have to charge you, we don't come over and try to fix things for the "I'll give you a tenner" brigade. We have to make a living and a tenner only just covers your diesel these days.

This time of year also brings out the best of people. Twice this weekend customers have turned up with a flask of hot tea for me. It was received with gratitude because its been cold and wet in Derbyshire this week.

Happy Easter.
