Electrical Installation Condition Reports & Gas certificate.

I have come across my first campsite insisting that anyone pitching for more than 28 days has an up to date Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) and Gas certificate. They are explaining to people that it is to improve fire safety. They have been concerned about the number of seasonally pitched caravans that have never had an engineer near them for years. I totally agree with them but I know a number of caravan owners are unhappy.
Chatsworth Motorhome & Caravan Services offers EICR and Gas certificates which comply with the requirements of the site.

January 2014.

January is often a quiet month but so far it has been very busy. The lack of daylight means that I can't do as much as usual but so far this year it has been a good year. I think this is due to a couple of things -

- The weather in January has been mild.
- People are caravanning and motorhoming during the winter now. Modern vehicles are very capable of operating all year round.

This is also the time of year when we re-new our training, I have just come back from two days at Webasto. I enjoyed meeting up with colleagues and learning about some new and interesting products.

The next stop is three days at Truma refreshing my knowledge and then it will be NEC time again.
